We needed several 10-foot bungee cords to hold down some plastic garden cover sheeting – I was able to assemble the needed bungees from this kit for a fraction of the cost of individual cords. The only tools you need are some diagonal cutters (or scissors) and a lighter (to cauterize the cut ends). The end clips are easy to install and will take the full tension of the cords. Highly recommend!

Easy to make to whatever length or tension u need. I needed 60″ long pieces to prevent the top canopy from flapping and ripping itself apart because ShelterLogic made a terrible design.Just cut, insert sleeve, push into the hook, twist hook on rope and push in the clip. I’m not sure how long these will last here in Florida but i hope at least a year. And if the tension gets reduced, i can always unclip, shorten the cord and reinsert the hook.

A good product! Modified a couple of the snaps by removing the piece that is intended to stop the clip from accidentally coming off. Left the others as original. Very happy with this purchase!!!s

It worked for all my kayaks. I am not able to rate UV resistance as it takes time. This repair kit is very handy and has all needed parts for basic repairs

Excellent product exactly as described.

These work VERY well as a replacement for missing/broken bungee cords on my Perception Pescador kayak. The clips are well designed and, when installed correctly, HOLD very well! I’m not sure why but these clips came with NO instructions. I guess the manufacturer believes instructions are not necessary as EVERYBODY knows how they should be assembled. Based on many of the reviews, EVERYBODY does not know the procedure. In the process of assembling the first cord, by accident, I found a tiny, little, obscure ARROW on the collet used to secure the clip to the cord. I then realized the process necessary to build an assembly. [See pix]1-Cut bungee to length2-Slide the COLLET onto the cord with the tiny ARROW pointing to the end the clip is to be installed.3-Usinng a low flame, slightly MELT the fiber and rubber end of the cord, just enough to bond the fibers, producing a small MUSHROOM like end.4-After the melted cord end has cooled, push the mushroom end into the clip, making sure the cord is inserted all the way to the top (slightly twisting the cord, if necessary). The cord must be bottomed, as far as possible, into the clip (end not visible).5-Slide the collet all the way onto the clip until it will not slide on any further.6-IF a “Click” is heard, the collet is secure, if not, gently rotate the collet on the clip until a “Click” is heard/felt.

I used the bungee cord to replace my old warn out cord on my water rower excerise machine.Called a company to come and fix my machine. It saved me $250 service evaluation and another $250 return service call plus parts and labor.

They work well.

I used it to replace the original lacing which broke. It worked better than the original and was very easy to use.

If I hadn’t seen a review from a verified purchase explaining how to attach the hooks, I would have never figured out this process. Why doesn’t the manufacturer include directions? After reading the review I was able to complete the fabrication process. I tried to heat the ends of the cord and flatten it a bit but the outer cover caught fire each time. I ended up cutting each end, slipping the collar over, put the cord in the hook, slip the collar over and click it in place. Works great.

The push-on clips were really easy to use.My only regret is that I underestimated how much of this stuff was wound around my boat and ended up buying the 25 foot kit twice.
